Jayson Stewart is a self-taught multidisciplinary artist and longtime visual arts educator whose work spans painting, sculpture, woodworking, mosaics, murals, and multimedia art. With nearly two decades of teaching at Espanola High School—and earlier experience in Toronto—he has inspired generations of students through creative exploration.
Jayson is deeply rooted in community arts, leading programs like summer camps, paint nights, competitions, and founding the Art in the Park event in Massey.

Influenced by artists such as Picasso, Norval Morrisseau, Christi Belcourt, and Basquiat, his bold, vibrant work often reflects themes of social justice.
His murals, workshops, and exhibitions appear throughout Northern Ontario, and he is currently accepting commissions while preparing to launch online art lessons. Jayson’s work embodies the Universal He-ART through connection, creativity, and community impact.
